Moulham Obid’s 2019 collection is all about GAIA. The designer is inspired by shapes and colours from nature. Elaborate cuts result in exciting silhouettes that give dresses, tops and coats a strong identity. The heart of the collection is a coat made of numerous of pink tulle stripes. A black asymmetrical dress is reminiscent of a tunic, which is given a stole of lilac-coloured tulle. A sleeveless mint coloured dress is exciting. Here too the outline is formed by cleverly draped tulle stripes. The strictly arranged pleats of a pink silk top remind us of architecture. A striped oversize cut mini dress reminds of the 1950s, the width of which can be controlled by a bustier. 25 m taffeta gives a black flounce dress the necessary volume. In the collection there is a portrait of Gaia on the back of a wide cut cotton coat and was painted by Moulham Obid himself.
